5 Day Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training with Mona L. Warner

October 17 - October 21

Join Mona Warner, author of “Ayurvedic Yoga -3 Approaches to Teaching Ayurvedic Yoga” for a long weekend training to dive deeper into your understanding of Ayurveda, and how to incorporate Ayurveda into your yoga classes. This training covers ‘Guna Yoga’ – how to teach to the qualities of nature. Guna Yoga is the foundation for understanding and incorporating all other Ayurvedic concepts into your yoga classes. Training includes semi private or shared accommodation, vegetarian meals served buffet style, all classes, trainings and workshops with Mona, as well as use of Shanti’s amenities. Personal Retreat – The Bliss of Being

October 17 - October 21

Join us for an extended long weekend and nurture yourself with a personal retreat at Shanti. Savour the opportunity to Simply Be in this sacred setting; savour time waterside, enjoy mindful nature walks, detox in the infrared sauna, relax fireside with a book and your favourite herbal tea. This offering includes accommodation, lovingly prepared meals, full use of all  Shanti’s amenities and a daily yoga and meditation class.  You’ll share the space with a small ayurvedic training group during your stay. While the group practices in the yurt, we will gather for a morning yoga/meditation class in the Main Inn’s Green Tara room and you can also take time for personal practice at anytime in that space. There is the option to stay until Sunday or Monday. The 5 day/4 night (Thursday to Monday) personal retreat rates are $655 plus HST/pp for a semi-private room (2 share). Rest & Reconnect: A weekend of Restorative Yoga with Joshua Lewis

Shared accommodation available for this retreat. We welcome back Joshua Lewis for his 5th annual fall retreat – the ideal antidote for the busy and often stressful lives we lead. The greatest gift you can give yourself is the opportunity to switch from a state of “doing” to a state of simply “being.” Through the therapeutic practices of Yin, Gentle Hatha, and Restorative Yoga, our overall intention this weekend is to support the entire organism through rest. We will yield the body with the assistance of multiple props and the luxury of time. This practice of global release is passive and nourishing, calming the nervous system and promoting deep healing.
