Thai
Yoga Massage is an ancient and sacred system of healing with roots in
Yoga, Ayurvedic Medicine, and Buddhist spiritual practice. The massage
takes place fully clothed on a mat on the floor allowing the practitioner
to use her palms, thumbs, elbows, and feet to apply pressure along the
bodys energy lines and pressure points, and gently apply yoga
stretches to the whole body.
Thai Yoga
Massage is based on the yogic belief that vital energy (prana) flows
through a series of channels in the human energy body. Obstructions
to the free flow of this energy may manifest in the form of disease,
discomfort or emotional problems. The aim of Thai yoga massage is to
stimulate the flow of healing energy within the body, restoring equilibrium
and harmony, promoting a return to good health. This enhanced energy
flow relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune
system, and balances the body energetically. Thai Yoga Massage also
generates a deep state of relaxation and promotes centeredness and well-being
for both the client and practitioner.
